Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a part of the Catholic Mass where children are invited to hear and reflect on the Scripture readings in a way that is age-appropriate. It typically takes place during the Liturgy of the Word (after the opening prayers), when children are dismissed to a separate space with adult leaders who guide them through simplified readings, prayers, and discussions. The goal is to help children understand and participate more fully in the message of the Gospel. Afterward, they return to the main congregation for the remainder of the Mass.
